Giving Nature a Helping Hand
Our philosophy is that generally the less you interfere with nature the better, but sometimes it does need a little help! so our range includes treatments for the most common pond problems, including algae (blanket weed or green water) duckweed and the build up of sludge.
What we do
We focus mainly on the water treatment products that we manufacture ourselves in rural Lincolnshire, that way we can be confident that they only contain the safest ingredients. In fact, our team developed some of the best known eco-friendly pond treatments – Extract of Barley Straw for algae control and Duckweed Control for treating Lemna species (commonly known as Duckweed).
So, whether your concern is for the health of expensive koi or the safety of frogs, newts or wild birds we offer environmentally responsible solutions that will not cause them any harm.
Our products are also safe for pets and humans – young, old, and anywhere in between!

Our History
Eco Pond grew from the scientific background, and experience within the water industry, of our founder Francis Saunders.
Together with the experience of our Production Manager in the recreational and ornamental fisheries industry and the interest of all our team members in wildlife and the environment you can be sure that we have the best interests of your fish and wildlife at heart!
When we launched our first algae control product over 20 years ago, our products were sold under the AquaHydrotech brand. We re-branded as Eco Pond in 2010 to underline our eco-friendly ethos.
